Terms of service

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms apply when you use SilentForms: when you request an access key, put a SilentForms form on a website, or sign in to the dashboard. By doing any of those, you agree to them. Questions go to [email protected].

The service#

SilentForms receives submissions from HTML forms and delivers them to the form's owner by email, to a webhook and in the dashboard. It is free. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Your responsibilities#

  • Use it lawfully and follow the acceptable use policy.
  • Your forms are yours. You decide what they ask, and you are responsible for the data they collect, including telling your visitors how it is used (usually in your own privacy policy) and having a lawful reason to collect it.
  • Keep sign-in to your email account secure. Access to the dashboard is by links sent to your email address.
  • Do not try to get around limits or security, use someone else's key without their permission, or interfere with the service.

Limits#

To keep the service available for everyone we limit how fast forms can submit (currently 10 submissions a minute from one IP address and 60 a minute per access key) and how large a submission can be. We may change these limits.

Suspension and ending use#

We may pause or remove a form, a key or an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where we can, we tell you first. You can stop using SilentForms at any time and delete your account and data from the dashboard.

If we ever stop running SilentForms, or stop offering it for free, we will email account holders at least 30 days in advance.

No warranty#

SilentForms is provided as it is and as available. We work to deliver every submission, but email and the internet are not perfectly reliable, so we cannot promise that every submission will arrive or that the service will always be available. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; the dashboard's CSV export helps.

Liability#

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost submissions, data, revenue or profit, arising from your use of SilentForms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. If a change materially affects you, we email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use SilentForms after that means you accept the updated terms.

Law#

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where SilentForms is operated, without taking away any protection the laws of your own country give you as a consumer.
