Choose Basin if

  • You need file uploads: Basin includes 100 MB on its free plan.
  • You want a drag-and-drop form builder or Zapier on the free plan.

What SilentForms does differently

You expect more than 50 submissions a month

Basin's free plan covers 50 submissions a month on one form. SilentForms has no quota and up to 25 forms per account, without a plan to outgrow.

You want to keep submissions longer than 30 days

Basin keeps free-plan submissions for 30 days, and a year on Starter. SilentForms keeps them until you delete them.

You want webhooks, Slack or Discord without $29 a month

Basin adds webhooks, the API, Slack and Discord on Growth. SilentForms includes webhooks, the API and Slack, Discord and Telegram on every form.

You want export and your own thank-you page for free

On Basin, CSV export and a custom redirect start at Starter ($15 a month). Both are free in SilentForms.

Where Basin is strong

  • A broad spam toolkit: reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, Turnstile and domain restriction even on the free plan, plus country, language and disposable-email filters on Pro.
  • Submissions over a paid plan’s quota are kept and billed per 1,000 rather than dropped.
  • Zapier and a form builder on the free plan; native integrations and a REST API from Growth.

Switching from Basin

Your form's markup, fields and styling stay as they are. Most switches change one line.

  1. Step 1

    Get a key

Enter your email on the access key page and click the confirmation link. No password, no card.

  2. Step 2

    Change the action

Change the action from usebasin.com/f/{form id} to SilentForms with your access key in the URL. Field names stay as they are, and the _gotcha honeypot keeps working.

  3. Step 3

    Send a test

Submit the form once and check your inbox. Open the dashboard to see it stored there too.

Questions

Is SilentForms really free?

Yes. Unlimited submissions, email delivery, webhooks, spam protection, CAPTCHA and the dashboard are all free, forever, for up to 25 forms per account. There are no paid plans and we never ask for a credit card. The only limits stop abuse: 10 submissions a minute from one IP address and 60 a minute per access key.

Can I keep my existing form when I switch from Basin?

Yes. Change the action from usebasin.com/f/{form id} to SilentForms with your access key in the URL. Field names stay as they are, and the _gotcha honeypot keeps working.

Does SilentForms have a form builder like Basin?

No. SilentForms receives submissions from a form you write yourself, in HTML or any framework, so your markup and styling stay exactly as you built them.

What does Basin offer that SilentForms does not?

You need file uploads: Basin includes 100 MB on its free plan. You want a drag-and-drop form builder or Zapier on the free plan. You want spam filters by country, language or disposable email address (Basin Pro).
